According to the US Department of Energy the ideal temperature to keep your AC at in the summer is 76 degrees. When your going away from home you can even push it upto 80 degrees. If 76 still feels too warm you can experiment and bring it down a few degrees but don’t drop the temperature more than a few degrees or your electric bill will shoot up.
A smart thermostat would connect to your homes wifi and can be programmed to readjust the temperature based on outside weather and the time of the day.
