When should I be changing my furnace filter?

It varies in different homes. in some houses it last one month and in some houses same filter last 5-6 months. In general, Most commonly these filters replaced are for 1- to 2-inch filters, replace them every 2 to 3 months. For 3- to 4-inch filters, replace them every 6 months.
